These compounds, primarily esters of para-hydroxybenzoic acid, effectively inhibit bacteria, mold, and yeast growth, thereby contributing to the stability and shelf life of items such as shampoos, lotions, and makeup.

The Works Art & Design Festival in Edmonton from June 21-July 3 The Works Art & Design Festival returns to Downtown Edmonton! Exhibits of art and design take the forefront as The Works transforms urban spaces into places for visual culture, creativity, and community through 40+ exhibits as well as an outdoor stage, art-making programs for all ages, a market of Canadian creators, a diverse Food Street, and more for 13 days,! The 2018 festival marks the 33rd year of The Works, and brings a dynamic shift as the main site temporarily relocates to the Capital Plaza on the iconic Alberta Legislature grounds. This year (2018) the festival theme is “Paradigm”. In the Annual Media Conference held at Matrix Hotel this morning on May 29, 2018 had a speaking program followed by refreshments.
